Since his full-time arrival on September 8, 1975, Associate Librarian David Breslin has helped students search for that all-important book or given them endless resources to find information for research papers. All good things must come to an end and the time has come to say goodbye to Breslin.

At the end of this semester, the 30-year veteran will retire. Some students may see Breslin as just a librarian, but others have been so deeply touched by his influence that they remain in contact after leaving VC. Associate Librarian Peter Sezzi is one such student and said that it's partly because of Breslin that he chose to become a librarian.

"I would not be here today if it weren't for (Breslin)," Sezzi said, "In one word, he's a mentor. I think that students at VC, especially future generations, will miss out. I mean, I'm going to try and do it, but, hey, no one can fill those shoes."

Breslin has no special plans for his life after VC. However, he does plan to continue as an assistant coach for the Women's basketball team.
