After 15 years at VC, health and physical education instructor George Rosales is leaving the ship. From 1992 to 1997, he was VC's head football coach.

"I've never been in a more ingratiating place in my life. The people are just tremendous," Rosales said of working at VC.

He said that his most memorable moment at VC was when current head football coach Terry Morris led the Pirates to win the Western State Conference.

"For us that was a big accomplishment," he said.

Rosales said that he would be traveling more during his retirement. His wife will accompany him on a trip with art instructor Bob Moskowitz this summer. He also plans to visit his two daughters who live in Denver, Colorado, more often, along with traveling to Oregon to visit his son.

Rosales said that he would still help out with VC's football team.

"I want to keep myself active and hopefully live a long time," Rosales said.
