The VC press has taught me a lot, not only about journalism, but about the college and community as a whole. Through the newspaper, I have built relationships with more of my peers in the past semester than in the two years I have been at a community college. I have built relationships with the faculty and staff of VC, too. I am now more informed about events occurring on and off campus, the exciting and varied courses offered and, most importantly, the amazing people who make up Ventura College. I feel extremely grateful that I was able to have these experiences.
