Without the VC Press, I would not have become a photojournalist. I could have taken photo classes, but actually being in the field gave me the confidence to pursue an artistic outlet I had long forgotten to indulge. The challenge of working cohesively on the VC Press was a much-needed break from the monotony of core classes I was so easily breezing through.
Did I need journalism for my psychology major? No, I didn't. But I'm so much better for it.
